Holy Names Academy – D.A.R. house – Seattle
Seattle was in full bloom on this early May Wedding. The streets were strewn with tree blossoms, setting the
stage for the day’s celebration. The bride attended the Academy for three years in her youth and had a deep
connection with the setting. As the wedding party made their way through the campus, I photographed them
casually walking and as a group in various places. The entire gathering made their way down the road to the
nearby DAR house (Rainier Chapter) for the reception. It was perfectly hosted, complete with a three piece
jazz band and a wedding cake made by a close friend. The entire day was delightful.

Snoqualmie Falls – Salish Lodge
It is April and the weather was crazy throughout the state. I can’t imagine a better place to gather in such
conditions than the Salish lodge. Mist rolled up the sheer cliffs as the toasts were being made. The couple
were able to meander throughout the lodge beforehand, casually mingling with guests as they arrived. We
had plenty of opportunity to photograph outside and in. What a sharp looking crowd.

Davenport Hotel, Mukogawa Fort Wright Chapel – Spokane, WA
It was an honor to attend the marriage of two Spokane natives along with their dear families and close friends.
The bridal party had known each other for a long time, and the group had that fun, easy feeling that can only
come with time. The family was extremely gracious with what appeared to be no effort, making an evening
that none of the guests will forget. I can only hope that the photographs show some of this weddings elegance.

Kiana Lodge – Poulsbo WA.
The first wedding I ever photographed was at Kiana. I attribute the reason I still enjoy shooting weddings to that
first gig. This weekend’s wedding had rock stars and lawyers, sunshine and soaking wet children, guests crying
and laughing. Everyone fell in love with the bride’s grandmother. She made a toast with a mafia threat embedded
to those who would wrong her granddaughter. Hilarious. Sobering.

Leah & Albert – Seattle
After many days of cloudy weather, Saturday finally opened up to a wonderful Seattle summer day, just in time
for Leah and Alberts wedding on the ridge overlooking Lake Washington. I photographed their good friends Kori
and Paul last summer and they were here for this one, Kori even as a bridesmaid. The bride grew up a few minutes
to the south of the Mt Baker Presbyterian Park Church and the groom a few minutes north, so everyone was right
at home. The entire wedding party walked along the parks edge to the reception where the filtered sunset flooded
through huge windows into the reception banquet. It was a photographers dream.

Grand Hyatt – Seattle, WA
Every so often a wedding is so grand, so notable, that a second photographer is needed to capture all of the days
events and moments. Della Chen of Della Chen Photography was hired to photograph such an event and I was honored
to be asked to be the second photographer. Over 300 people were lead into majestic rooms in the lower lobby of
the Grand Hyatt in downtown Seattle. The bride and groom had numerous outfits that changed throughout the
night, including a tradional Korean kneeling ceremony dress and suit.

Mar Queen Hotel, Woodland Park Rose Garden, Shilshole Bay Beach Club.
Lilla and Mark had a wedding like I have never photographed before. Primarily because of the charisma of the
featured couple, but all the guests will attest to other events that transpired that evening that will make it an
unforgettable event for not just me. I was glowing for weeks afterward. What an amazing group of people. I
hope the pictures can show some of what I am trying to explain.

Sirens of the forest wedding ~ Trash the dress
On a recent warm spring day, in the forests surrounding Olympia, two beauties and I ran through the salmon
berry bushes and streams, getting dresses dirty and cameras wet. These are only some of the pictures from that day.
I hope to post some others in the fashion portion of the website. And feel free to view the short video of the shoot
posted below. What an amazing day.
